60 lbs less!

January 2010 still down 60, with more to go! | | | I started on May 1, 2009 with a plan to finally lose weight and feel good. After having 3 babies, ( with an average weight of 10lbs), I needed to get my body in shape. I used the Medifast diet plan for 7 months was took off 60lbs and dropped 5 sizes. I was really feeling amazing!
In December I went off of Medifast and struggled to figure out what would be the best plan for me to continue with my weight loss. I joined a gym and started going three times a week. I never thought that I would end up loving exercise, but I look forward to it and am totally hooked!
Even though I was going to the gym, I found that I wasn't being careful with my eating choices, so this past week I signed up at Weight Watchers. I have done WW before with success, but never with the amount of exercise I am doing now! My first weigh in is this Sunday, I am so excited to see where my hard work has taken me!
The big lesson that I have FINALLY learned is that eating high calorie food is not worth it, no matter how yummy the treat. I bust my butt at the gym to burn off calories, so to undo that work by eating a cookie is totally ridiculous. Because I never had the exercise component in my life, I couldn't appreciate this lesson. I know what it takes to burn 300 calories, and I remember this when I choose what to eat. Exercise is the key!
I will update with my WW progress soon. My goal is to drop 3 more sizes by the summer. What is your goal?
