Organic
Shampoo Recipe:
Recently I made my first batch of shampoo. Here are the
ingredients:
castile
soap, jojoba oil, lavender, sage
Here
is how I did it:
2
cups distilled water with sage and lavender-steep for 30 min.
1/4
cup castile soap (Dr.Bronners Fair
Trade)
1
tsp jojoba oil
combine
all the ingredients and fill up a reusable bottle with a cap.Shake
before each use!
***you can use any herbs or oils that you want to, add them to your
prepared base***
This
will not be thick shampoo like you buy in the store, (no extra
chemicals!). It is thinner and won't get super soapy like you are
used to. However, your hair will feel clean and smell amazing, not
to mention benefit from the herbs that you choose to put into your
shampoo. Since it
is made of 100% plant products, it does not pollute the water supply
either! This
shampoo is totally animal byproduct free, 100 % vegan, organic and made
from plant oils, and will not harm the earth in any way!
Save money, be
"green", and spare your family unnecessary exposure to
preservatives and chemical ingredients:
make it at home!
Homemade toothpaste!
You can make your own toothpaste with the stuff you probably have in the house right now:
So super easy and I control what goes into it!
Here is what you need:
1/2 c baking soda
1/4 c hydrogen peroxide
3 tsp stevia
a few drops of your favorite flavor extract
(I used peppermint)
 Make
your own hand
lotion!(secret
ingredient)

Lots of fun to be able to make your own lotion
from plant ingredients that you have in your home.
How did I make it?
Ingredients: 4 oz crisco 2 oz glycerin aloe from my own plant 3 tbs coconut milk 10 drops of Jojoba oli
I put all the ingredients into a bowl sitting in a pot of boiling water, (like a double boiler). The ingredients melted as I stirred it often. Once it was in liquid form, I poured it into a jar and let it cool.
Once it was cool, I used my hand blender with the whisk attatchment to whip it into a creamy lotion!
